Alice Cooper - Love It to Death
In preperation for the Alice Cooper concert that me and my boyfriend are attending this April (2026), I have been getting familiar with more of his music. I found this album because of the song "Is it My Body" (a great song, but not my favorite) off of the Mascara and Monsters compilation CD from the Walmart CD bin back in the day (not that long ago haha, 7 years max). The album is cool, it starts with a groovy swingy track, "Caught in a Dream" is a great opener. "I'm Eighteen" is a hit, and somewhat relateable in some ways. The track "Second Coming" has an amazing piano transition into "Ballad of Dwight Fry," my favorite track off the album. I discovered this track through the 2012 Tim Burton film "Dark Shadows" where Johnny Depp is the main vampire (8/10). I love the elements of insanity it portrays. Even in the music video and concerts, Alice is known to wear a straitjacket.
